About

I moved to Nova Scotia, Canada on January 3rd, 2013 from the U.S. to start a PhD program at Dalhousie University in Halifax.  This blog is a spot for me to keep my collection of adventures, thoughts, cooking experiments (I am gluten free and my new roommate is vegan so this could get interesting), and mostly just all my random ramblings about what my new Canadian life is like.  I try to share any tips I have for other foreigners moving to Halifax and some suggestions on fun places/events in Halifax, and am always open to suggestions for more topics.

Thanks for reading!

This is not what Halifax looks like in January!

    Kerry,

It’s your old SBES grad coordinator here. Katelyn sent me this link. I was asking her about you because I’m trying to update my alumni information for the bosses so they can brag next week at a meeting the same day of the Symposium. I knew you were in Canada but didn’t know the details.

I’m not on Facebook, so if you get a minute could you please give me a little detail about what you’re doing. It would be great to have your mailing address, email address, and anything else you’d like to share about what you’re doing (lab you’re in, research topics, etc.)

I LOVE this site. Your cooking photos are fabulous. Hope you’re happy and looking forward to hearing from you soon. Have you seen any whales??

    Love ya —–Tess
