Sunday Sunday

Being March 3rd, today is a sad day, as it marks the end of McDonald’s week of giving away free small coffees.  However, it was a pretty good day for me.  I managed to get up at 7:15 this morning and get over to Martock to snowboard and continue my quest of making my season ski pass worth it (or as I told Nichelle I was calling it: quest “Mar-tic-tock-tic-tock”) – 6 times down, 2 to go.  Hoping that Punxsutawney Phil was wrong (or at least “early” spring for Nova Scotia means not so early that I can’t get a couple more times in)…

A delicious lunch of my leftover pizza from Friday night (I mixed some brown rice flour and corn starch with the Pamela’s mix and water this time for the crust, making it a nice crispy flat crust this time):

I cheated a little when I made it by using sauce that had sausage, peppers, and onions in it but I had to because I didn’t have many toppings – the pepper I stole from Gillian…

And of course, didn’t want to miss out on the last day of Mickey-D’s coffees so I just ran out to grab one and pick up a couple books from the library.  I settled on two books from a “top 10 spy novels” list I found online while I wait for A Clash of Kings and The Wind Through the Keyhole which I put on hold.  I am on a bit of a spy kick right after still not quite having satisified my desire for a James Bond movie a week ago.  I tried watching The Tourist with Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp which was actually pretty good and Salt (also Angelina Jolie) which was also interesting except that the ending wasn’t super satisfying.  But I still wanted more and needed something to read.

Now, on to finishing up the lab reports I have due this week for my two classes while sipping on some free coffee.  Thanks McDonald’s for the liquid motivation.

The only problem with free coffee is that they don’t feel bad giving you the burnt, bottom-of-the-pot stuff. I am now 3 for 3 on that. But hey, free is free…
