doesn’t quite have the same ring to it as the blizzard of ’96. Also this one happened to fall on a weekend (starting Friday night) so I am not going to get a week off of school like I did when I was nine. So I probably won’t have time to build an igloo either. I do have an igloo building guide this time thanks to a nice christmas present I got this year but I don’t have the yellow recycling bins like we used to have that we made the blocks out of. Oh well, I’ll make one in the next blizzard.
Luckily we didn’t lose power or anything and Gillian was even able to brave the walk to the bus on Saturday to get into the city for a hair cut appointment and hanging out with a friend. The boys (the cats – Hunter, Dwayne, and Poncho) and I, on the other hand, had a lazy Friday afternoon, Saturday day, and Sunday morning. I just finally got out to play in the snow (like my family suggested I do today) and dug out our two cars and the walkway to our porch.
Here are some pictures of my “adventure”:
P.S. I was hoping to get out to snowboard in all the new snow but Martock ski hill was closed yesterday due to inclement weather – haha a ski hill closed due to snow
