Today is a federal holiday in Canada – “Good Friday” – so all the banks, grocery stores, and Dalhousie was closed. Tim Hortons – surprise, surprise – was still open. I guess Canadians need their timmies even on holidays! I got a last minute invite to join my friends Dianne, Nichelle, and Janice for an Easter turkey dinner at their house tonight. I asked if I could bring anything and they suggested that a dessert might be nice if I could manage it (again, the grocery stores were closed). So I decided to give it a try.
I did have eggs, milk, gluten free baking mix, and sugar but not much to mix in with it – chocolate chips would have been nice and easy.
